Not everyone needs a "Home Office", but everyone should have a designated place in their home for organizing personal files, storing books, computers, etc. This space should be both inspiring and stimulating; a space that takes you to your “happy place”. For me, a home office is an important part of my living space since I spend so much of my time here. And while I absolutely have to have elements of inspiration and creativity, it also has to be functional and inviting. Your office space can be anything you want it to be. For example, below are two opposite styled offices, but both perfect for their owners.
If you love color, the below spaces are for you! Fun & Playful...
Or, if you like a more calming environment, then you might like a monochromatic color scheme; this is when various combinations of light, medium, and dark values of a single color are used to make up the majority of the color scheme. A monochromatic color scheme is most commonly used with neutrals such as beige and grey to create a relaxing environment.
If you have a larger home office, you can help to use up some of that visual space by selecting bold patterns and textiles. This can give your home office a decadent feeling of luxury, like the space shown below.
Even, if you don't have an entire room, you can have a dedicated office space. Here are a few "pocket" offices hidden away from the day-to-day...
Now enough stalling and get out there and make your office space inspired! ;o) The best thing about your office, is that it's YOURS! Make it what you want it to be.
These office spaces are truly inspiring! I’m sure you will never want to leave the space once you step inside. And I believe that the working environment has an influence on the quality of your work. When your working space is suitable for you, you can expect to do one heck of a job!
