White Christmas

I can't believe it's already December 1st! I feel as if this whole year has flown by in a hurry. This is the month for fun decor, holiday gatherings, Snow Flake Lane, Christmas Tree Lighting's, and warm winter drinks. I love the Holiday season!

I personally love white - It's so elegant and timeless, especially when decorating for the holidays. White is the perfect backdrop forth holidays. If you buy the majority of your Holiday decor in white, it's easy to add a different splash of color from one year to the next.

Here is a BEAUTIFUL example of a "White Christmas" from Country Living Magazine

I know that most of us can't afford to go out and buy the most beautiful Holiday decorations out there. Here's a great tip: Shop thrift stores and Antique shops; they usually have wonderful items that can easily be used for holiday decor. Look for white pitchers to hold flowers; antique serving trays, glass vases to fill with ornaments. Take magazine clippings with you so you know what shapes and styles to look for. Many items just need a fresh coat of paint to be the perfect fit for your decor. You don't have to spend your life savings to have a beautifully decorated home for the holidays!
